You use either the volume control on the music playing program or the general Windows volume control. It's supposed to be an analog volume control but I'm not sure how that is implemented.

Did you check Device Manager to see if it was showing up there with a question mark? If so you could manually point it to the driver. PnP is far from perfect at this juncture - sometimes it needs a little push.
