besides an excellent dac section that will make redbook cd's sound better than I have ever heard them, does all the other resolutions and does great in a home speaker system. The internal amp is extremely good driving everything I have thrown at it, though I use the Lyr 2 for the HE-6 in combination with the Hugo as the dac. I often use the iBasso DX90 as a source, which it is also very good at, using the coax.

Thanks. Do you have a preferred headphone or type of headphone that works best with the Hugo? Do you have any knowledge of Chord's reputation for customer service?
a very good reputation and seems to take care of their customers. IMO the Hugo is very advanced.
For headphones it drives about everything. I use the Fostex TH900, and really like the HiFiman HE 560, which I consider better than the LCD line of phones, of which I have the LCD-2.
