Let's say-up to 250$.The LCD-2s are Fazor, and the Mjolnir is supposed to correct the lack of highs and pronounced mids of the LCD-2,so that a relatively neutral sounding cable(4 pin connection to the Mjolnir) should fit the bill.Any recommendations? Thanks.

Give Steve Eddy's Q Cable French Silk a look. Used it on my LCD-2.2C, LCD-3C, LCD-X, and LCD-3F to great results.
Good stuff from one of the good guys.
Check out the Vanquish cables by Norne Audio, great quality at reasonable prices.
If the amp is supposed to "correct" the sound of the stock LCD-2s and you take the stock cable away, any cable used as a replacement should sound identical to the stock cable. Is the stock cable a "neutral" sounding cable?
If you would need a cable that sounds exactly like the stock one, why not just keep on using the stock cable?
The Mjolnir is a balanced-only amp. The stock cable with the LCD-2 is unbalanced. No new cable, no Mjolnir.
Happy listening,
Jim

Obviously. And there would be another few points to address.
... might work just fine. Moon Audio offers retermination services for those who don't have DIY abilities.
A brand new custom cable may or may not provide the sonic results you are after, it's a crapshoot...
Thanks for all responses.Yes,it is a crapshoot. That is why I was hoping that someone with an LCD-2 fazor and a Mjolnir could chime in.There seems to be overwhelming agreement that a good aftermarket cable would easily improve on the stock cable.Just what that aftermarket cable could be that would fit in harmoniously and effectively with the LCD-2/Mjolnir combo ,is what I am attempting to ascertain.
After having completely re-cabled or re-terminated all of my headphones, I am of the opinion that while different cables can affect sonics, the *improvements* are often subtle ones and might even be more on the level of "different" rather than "better"...The best thing about expensive aftermarket cables are the better connectors terminating those cables, IMO. Better, tighter-fitting connectors help to improve signal transmission, which is the best thing that can be hoped for. Always use the highest quality connectors possible. Cable changes can be used to affect the tonal character of our systems but amplification changes are the much more effective route to take. Better to spend a few hundred dollars more on better amplification than a few hundred dollars more on aftermarket cables. That's why I would suggest simply re-terminating your existing cables with the best connectors you can find and putting any money saved into the best amplification you can afford, in order to save yourself frustration and money over the long run.
If you are looking for an amp with a sweetly extended top end and a slightly distant midrange perspective, I would recommend the DNA Sonett amplifier. I own one and I think that it might be just what you are looking for in an amp, tonally speaking. I'm not sure if the Sonett provides enough power for the LCD-2s, however.

Try Moon Audio or HeadRoom (which is now Headphones.com). I think I saw a Cardas balanced 4pin XLR cable for Audeze over on HeadRoom for $279.
So running the new LCD2 balanced into the Mjolnir restores the treble, sounds
interesting. I really do like the Audeze "fit & finish" much more than HiFiman HPs. As great as my HFMs sound their "made in a garage" ergonomics still bug me.
Hurry up & get a balanced cable for your LCD2 & let me know what you think.Try removing the pads right underneath the grilles on the outer side of the earcups also.
(They put too much unnecessary damping in planar headphones to make them sound more like dynamic headphones; Reality check time, buy a Dynamic Headphone if you like those kinds of sound characteristics)
