Rilly.
Very very clever--it probably cost a small fortune to produce.

BTW! Billy Strayhorn's classic "Lush Life" is so hard to pitch when singing because it is in D-flat Major (Five Flats), but the occasional accidentals bring to total of different pitches up to ELEVEN! (The song flirts with D Major and Ab Major as it goes along.)Billy was only 16 years old, but he almost wrote a 12-tone "I'm Alone in a Bar" Ballad!
Just think about the pitch changes in the last vocal phrase...

avoids having any one pitch be a Key or Key Center.
An Exception is the Berg Violin Concerto, which has many beautiful Tonal Elements, ( not to mention the Bach Chorale )
even tho it's 12 Tone.
Lush Life uses Chords and Key Signature, some of the 11 Notes are just the Chromatic Scale.
Jazz Tunes often have several Modulations, however temporary. That's how your excerpt ended in F Maj.
Why is Db a hard key to sing?
Strayhorn was a Major Genius, I've seen some of his Chord Voicings that will curl your hair trying to analyse!

. . . that when Dave Hurwitz and I were working at the same record store back in the 80's, we talked about bringing out a song for the holidays which would be called, "The 12 Tones of Christmas". Unfortunately, we never followed through! ;-)
When my daughter was in choir in High School, there was a girl that looked like a pro and also sang like that.....not sure she could stop though when doing regular music

Don't that beat all! :) Thanks!
Alison Brown has got some chops! Musician and Producer!
It's inspired me to put on some of my old Cage, Varese, Berg, Schoenberg, Henze, Webern and Xenakis albums, none of which I've played in the past 30 years. Some of it was very good, and some - not so much; don't remember which.
Are you familiar with "An Introduction to Twentieth Century Music" by Peter Hansen? Pretty good book. (It's old, though.)
