I know you enjoy escaping to warmer parts as winter approaches.

Was hoping to be fishing this week, but our guide has cancelled 6 out of 7 Days we had due to high winds, small craft advisory and All Clouds... No basking in sun this week....
Will be heading to Guadeloupe in the West Indies in Mid December for the winter.

Not really even warm... 60 degrees and rainy.... Maybe I'll get to fish this Friday before I fly home......
Off Topic -- I saw that you have a Mac Mini in your Audio System. What do you use that for?

The Mac Mini is presently used mainly as my Roon Core but I also use it sometimes as a Roon player with navigation and albums displayed on the big TV. But I can also NOT use the Mac Mini as a player and just use the Raspberry Pi as a streamer instead. I can control navigation and playback with the iPad as well.
The Mac Mini comes in handy with the big screen TV as we also use it to play YouTube videos and AppleTV movies.

SMSL DAC + Mac Mini --> 75" TV

PS Audio DAC + RPi4
In both cases above the Roon Core is on the Mac Mini. I had Roon Core on the NAS but I'm playing around with certain DSP and the NAS CPU can't quite handle it.

I had thought that you were using your NAS as the Roon Core? --- Not enough processing speed? At least that what it says on your system profile:
Roon Albums displayed on the Samsung 75-inch Q90T QLED TV. Synology DS718+ NAS in basement running Roon Core. Roon manages local music files on the NAS. Roon additionally manages Qobuz & Tidal Streaming. CAT-6 hardwired Ethernet throughout the house. The TV is also used for CableTV, Over the Air HDTV, YouTube videos, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV+. The Blu-ray player and discs are in storage.
Edits: 11/16/23
I have historically run Roon Core on the NAS but recently moved it to the Mac Mini so I can experiment with DSP. The NAS lacks CPU power for many of the DSP operations. I might move Roon Core back to NAS at some point.
My profile needs updating.
