How much of that is from bacon and chitlins? It must be nice. I'd like to see her "show" stereo system.
Follow Ups:
Hardly makes her music or albums more interesting to me. Maybe I ought to loosen up on my dislike of music industry celebrities it'll give me something to talk about around the water cooler or at social gatherings.
A smart businesswoman who knows how to market herself and how to manage her money. Nothing wrong with that at all.
That doesn't mean I have to like her songs, or regard them as anything other than commercial rubbish that panders to the lowest common denominator of popular taste.
Nobody ever went broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public, as H.L. Mencken noted nearly a century ago.
I could not agree more. Spot on, brother.
As re: Taylor Swift and her songwriting, there are academic types who think she's writing serious poetry and have organized whole academic conferences devoted to analysis of her tunes. No accounting for taste or academic lunacy ...
Lack of skill dictates economy of style. - Joey Ramone
This presents a conundrum for the folks who despise the uber-wealthy but love Taylor Swift.According to Forbes, there were 735 billionaires in the U.S. in 2023. Now there's 736.

more of an issue of how they conduct themselves and their finances. Warren Buffet is, to me, a positive example. Taylor Swift might be, also. I don't know much about her personal ways.

Unfortunately, the current Taylor Swift celebrity idolatry is exploitative of her fans and to the end of benefiting her financially.

Sounds like she is a classic example of capitalism. I would think that she would be getting accolades around here for that.

Maybe not.
Taylor Swift probably didn't obtain her wealth via corruption, graft, and other white collar theft and crime.

Hopefully not her directly but the industry that embraces her efforts is full of corruption, graft and white collar crime. I imagine it won't be long before pop/rock stars become animation and the industry can cut the performer out of the action all together.

Have Fun and Enjoy the Music
"Still Working the Problem"
Neighbor's daughter selected her music in the playlist for a Halloween party that I find fun to hear. Along with some Katy Perry that I also enjoy.
While she can easily afford a Maybach, she doesn't pronounce it properly in Hard . ;)
and have turned yourself off to anything the younger generations are into.

Who are you? :)
I'm the unknown writer. I've composed music and written lyrics for people such as Miles Davies, Petunia Clark, Rob Dylan, Larry Bellefonte, Patsy Climb, and even Rudy Garland. You name them, it wrote for them.
You should know this. :p

Did you ever write for Duke Wellington or Dan Kenton?

She's obviously a smart lady, or has a good manager.
Tomorrow night my wife and daughters are going to a movie theater with some others. To see what? A Taylor Swift concert... on screen!!??
I don't mind some of her music, but usually flip to the next station if she's on the radio.
Good side benefit tho? I get to spend a night listening to (good) music.
My 10 year old granddaughter and her mom went to the Swift movie concert having booked the tickets a couple months ago.
They let me have their conflicting tickets for that evening of our local symphony providing the score for a Halloween themed evening film presentation of Frankenstein.
The film and live score were amazing but I imagine there was more screaming at the Swift event. Granddaughter had a blast!
Looking forward to her telling me more about it. She's already smarter than me so maybe I'll learn a thing or two LOL!

My 12 year old and 9 year old girls were OK with it, nothing like the "irritating girls" next to them. My wife enjoyed it more than the girls, still only so much.
They (13 total) went out for a bite after as well, so I had 4+ hours listening to tunes, and enjoyed every moment!
So... thanks Taylor. Haha
That's a big group!
Glad it turned out "win win" for everyone.

She earned it. I'm not a fan but clearly she is doing something right. Many things right. And by all accounts she's a good person. Nice to see a good person do well
