Maybe so regmac, but I don't need the condescending tone. Nothing wrong with pondering exotic possibilities.
Anyway... I recently bought a quality (not insanely high priced) subwoofer cable RCA and it is obvious compared to my cheap generic one, I live near a cell tower of 2 mW/m2 1.8ghz at the cable, the Zn/Mn ferrite jacket on the new one is good at blocking such frequencies, a shorter cable too, from 5m to 1m, like the F/L speaker lengths, now you may say such things are benign or tiny, but without strain the difference is obvious to my ears, it's gone from muddy/late to taut/agile, looking to the quantum world not so needed there.

If the difference is "obvious" why would it disappear in an ABX DBT?

Sorry, what do you mean, why would it? I never did any double blind testing.
Which yeah, I can't give you them results, I'm just giving something that I personally am finding interesting.
