Met him at CES/T.H.E a RMAF over the mid-2000s and even one VSAC, if I recall correctly.
He was a regular at many of the vendor rooms I frequented at shows as he was a writer for Positive Feedback.
Toobs and vinyl guy,and maybe even a horn guy as I met him in the EdgarHorn room one CES/T.H.E long ago.

Snippet: It was 1992. A friend in high-end audio had told me that I should get in touch with Clark Johnsen, since he was a good writer and might be interested in writing for Positive Feedback.
He might also be crazy. Good warning.
Clark was a good audio friend, an exceptional thinker and writer, a joyous and passionate fellow audio-voyager, one whom I'm very glad to have known and to have hosted for so many years here at the audio community that is Positive Feedback. I will really miss him.
Clark was the guy I gave the Intelligent Chip to at CES 2005 so he could take it around to anyone who would listen. The Product of the Year. Ironically the Intelligent Chip was not my product, it came from a guy in China, and distributed by golden Sound. Pretty funny, really. I guess I was the Senior Shill.Clark was also was nice enough to promote quite a few of my products back then pretty risky when they were uh, frowned upon, Brilliant Pebbles, Nimbus Sub Hertz Platform, Mr. Chip. He also promoted Peter Belt of PWB. Stereophile wound up reviewing their cream and holographic silver foil and even tried the photos in the freezer tweak, gasp! The Cream and foils made it into their Best Products list, whatever it's called. Will miracles never cease? Clark was one of the audio insiders who hung out in Crump Curl room 2000 and 2001 (where I was showing my spring based iso stuff).

and I quite enjoyed meeting up with you, Geoff, at the close of one of those shows (2001?). I recall being quite entertained by the range of articulation of that Nimbus thingy of yours.
fwiw, I think I still have some cream electret from the sample kit that Peter would mail out.
I could never remember how to spell Neuance. :-)
Makes sense. The tribute did raise the possibility of his being crazy. Seriously, he seemed like a sweet guy who was uber passionate about audio. And he annoyed Kuller. Perk* ~:)
But in this case...
It did!
