I would have to hear your system in your room. Sometimes asymmetrical arrangments can give surprisingly good results.

In this situation, would you get rid of the right equipment rack and just place the right speaker there? I would, even though the distance between the two may not be that much. There might be speakers in the back as well for a surround setup, as the center channel in present.
Simply not a good room for such.

Shouldn't since he has it centered on a corner but not speakers in the corner.
