Having met Dr. Geddes on more than one occasion and knowing Duke LeJeune well, I would agree that coming up with an idea and publishing a white paper is one thing while actually PRODUCING an actual functioning product based on that idea is quine another.

That said, Duke's "The Swarm" subwoofer set is a quad of nicely matched, "boundary compensated" subwoofers that should be considered an upgrade over the cheaper subwoofers from Monoprice and Earthquake Sound that I'm using in my sub system.
One thing that is nice about going to a quad subwoofer system is that each sub is being driven less furiously (and so, with lower distortion) than if the same sub(s) were being used in fewer numbers. The volume levels I'm using on all of my subs is set very low and yet, the overall effect of my bass response sounds, very, very BIG...
that's the only way to go peppy, thumbs up
I would have preferred to buy Duke's "The Swarm", in part because it comes from a guy I admire and in part because it truly is the more polished and complete multi-sub system.
But "priorities" do exist sometimes.
