Having evicted my ex-wife from my other house my gear is now here at house #2 and almost ready to install.
I have been cleaning the dust and cigarette stink she left on it. The DIY bass traps and other treatments (viewable in my gallery) didn't seem salvagable
and are part of the huge ever growing trash pile in the driveway.
So Friday the 6 ft tall 200 pound monsters find their way here. I have spent at least ten hours cleaning gear, cables, footers, the rack to allow them in this house.
I'm already thinking what the first recordings I choose will be ......life is good

Follow Ups:
you were talking about your ex wife when I started reading that sentence. Sometimes my mind does funny things. I hope you have better luck with the aforementioned items than the ex.

You paid HOW MUCH for that electrical receptacle?!!! Are YOU nuts?

Goes to show the most-important part of being an audiophile is the absence of a wife..... Uhhhhh......... ........
I'd be encouraging upgrades to the main 2 channel system and tweaking the gear in the den. I don't much like cleaning house but I believe cleaning vinyl is a necessity.
Than again, I'm already taken.
My wife puts up with the hobby and even helps swap out components, cable, tubes, etc. Sure she grumbles a bit and arches an eyebrow from time to time, but it's all good. And she loves most of the music I listen to and cares about the quality of the sound. Love is good. Nyah, nyah, nyah!BTY, I had to look up what MGTOW means. That lead me down related searches of herbivore men and such. Fascinating! I'll keep my overall views to myself other than to say two things:
1. To each their own, live and let live, God Bless, etc., but
2. It wouldn't work for anyone who is physically disabled and uses a wheelchair. Some folks need to rely on other folks to survive and are able to accept it and be happy anyway. Also, disabled or not, one can find freedom and autonomy in any number of ways without going it alone.

"Some folks need to rely on other folks to survive" Might I suggest that the Some be replaced with All.

my dad lucked out with a good wife, sickness and in health, when it meant something to keep the vows.
good for you,
I am a MGTOW Monk. Something else to look up. LOL!

Actually, I already saw the "Monk" definition. ;-)
That's cool. Whatever works!

Actually, my wife gets a kick out the whole MGTOW phenomenon too - especially that guy who posts under the "Red Pill - Germany" moniker on uTube, with his observations about "delusional career women" in Germany, etc. The woman he's describing sounds just like one of our relatives!

I was starting the composition of a novel, where there was a "women's club", for women who are attractive (requisite), ambitious, competitive, and most-importantly autonomous..... Completely run by women..... (Men may be in the club, but hold lesser roles.) "WGTOW", if you will.... (A section, for example, has women getting together at one of their homes after basketball practice, taking in a football game on big-screen TV, drinking beer, playing pool, and getting into heated discussions over what has been taking place in the football game.) But it might be 20 years, if I finish it........
