That's when we changed to a secure site. It's crazy, I've gotten a few folks with these strange problems and some find that it goes away the next day and others can't get in. But others in the same area with the same ISPs and browsers can.
One problem is that the browsers started getting strict and expecting everything to be totally secure. Old posts now still references insecure urls and browsers will give you a warning. If you click, no, get out of here. You may have unwittingly banned the Asylum from your browser.
The only way to fix that would be to actually uninstall the browser and reinstall a new copy. If you just reload it, it will keep your old settings.
Have you tried Chrome?

Follow Ups:
Using Firefox.
Usually, the "New Thread" thingy is at the bottom of the page.
No matter where I scroll or look, I don't see an option to post a new thread.
Maybe I talk too much?
Certainly something HAS changed, as that is not how I've ever started a new thread before...
click on the [ Post Message ] link in the menu on the top.

Before today, I've always started a new thread via the box way down at the bottom of the page.
You're not the first to be confused by that. It was a change that we made right away because entering a password or just having that dialog box was causing scary messages if not 100% secure.

Thanks for the info. I'll try re-installing my usual browsers and see what happens. As for the present, I can log in using Firefox. I'll watch for the pop-up about security.

From the feed back of others, also check on your anti-virus software if you using one. Several people have now figured out that this was the problem.
