Between cooking their books for years and the ongoing criminal investigations in Japan into their corrupt corporate practices, the resignation of virtually every high-level exec in shame, the nuke bankruptcy, all I have to say is what goes around comes around. May also be worth remembering that this is the same company that sold the Ruskies our secret submarine technology giving the Russians a major help in making their subs harder to detect. Could not be happening to a more deserving corporate citizen, IMO. Good riddance is what I say.
I cannot speak for others, but I was never impressed with Toshiba audio components..... Except for its Toslink fiber-optic connection between digital source and DAC. (The "TOS" in "TOSLINK" stands for "TOSHIBA".)
Bravo Zulu for calling them out.
Have never knowingly purchased or owned a Toshiba product, though I HAVE seen their chips/components in items.
In the 1990s - early 2000s, the older Tecra line was dependable and consistent over time which was a plus for corporate buyers.
Yeah, I remember reading many decades ago about the scandal. The two companies sold propeller-milling equipment to the Ruskies.
"They [the capitalists] will furnish credits which will serve us for the support of the Communist Party in their countries and, by supplying us materials and technical equipment which we lack, will restore our military industry necessary for our future attacks against our suppliers. To put it in other words, they will work on the preparation of their own suicide." -- V.I. Lenin
