A turntable is like a fireplace. Not essential, but life is better with it. Still, congratulations, getting to a Maggie-music centered life must be a great feeling. Keeping the room treatments also shows the right priorities.
Follow Ups:
Yes, had the old turntable for over 30 years, and will hate to box it up and send it out. The final impetus came when a friend offered to buy all of my records--that sealed the deal (I can always go to his house now to listen to one of my old records if I want). But I found myself listening to records less and less over the years, and never could convince myself to buy any new/used records either. That being said, I'm not willing to go to streaming or computer downloads either. As such, what I have now seems to fit me pretty well.

I like that ...a lot.
Thanks.

reelsmith's axiom: Its going to be used equipment when I sell it, so it may as well be used equipment when I buy it.
