How many systems do inmates have?
We have six:
1. The Main Rig in the living room/primary listening room (linked to my profile).
2. The Home Theater in the family room (linked to my profile).
3. The bedroom system: Logitech SBT (using its internal DAC), Lepai P-2020A+ Tripath amp, and a pair of NHT Super One speakers.
4. My office system: Logitech SBT, Schiit Bifrost (original), Schiit SYS, Parasound Zamp v.3, and a pair of Alta Solo speakers.
5. My wife's studio system: assorted mid-fi stuff (but it makes her happy).
6. The outdoor deck system: ancient Yamaha receiver, Polk Atrium 6 speakers, and a Sony dvd player to play cds (swapped out for one of the SBTs when we are having a party and want to sync with the main system).
Yes, I admit that it's ridiculous.
Happy listening,
Jim

Follow Ups:
I have three systems (including computer)..... Might set up a fourth, using the Fritz Loudspeaker Hemptones (upgrade drivers), Cheer Audio CD player, and the same cabling as used in the computer system. A Don Allen mod Magnavox EL84 integrated to supply the amplification.
I've also been considering a headphone rig, but I haven't had a real need for such a setup.
The two dedicated systems get about equal play time. I rotate amps in the high-efficiency (100-dB Club) system, now using a Jeff Larson design 6384 amplifier. The speakers now have Obbligato Gold caps in the crossover and Seismic Audio 16-ohm compression tweeters.
The main system uses Don Allen mod Bogen MO-30 mono amps, which has become a perfect complement for the Von Schweikert VR-4 Mod 5 speakers.
We have two and a half 'systems', plus misc:Basement Setup:

Travel - IPod Classic with uncompressed files and Sennheiser Over the Ear Momentum headphones - I really enjoy this set.
I also have a Tivoli radio in my office at work and a modest car stereo in the Miata.
I have a Tivoli in the bedroom connected to the laptop via Dragonfly DAC. It is placed vertically with the port on the left. The sound is very good and musical and I like it better than my B&W and Boston speakers. I am on the lookout for a bookshelf speaker which sounds like a big brother of Tivoli for around $500.
Cheers
Bill
