"Honey, I found what I want for Christmas!"

Here is what I have as a possibility. It's a 2006 Pontiac GTO seat bolted to a new office chair base. The seat is all leather with manually adjustable lumbar support. I installed a gel-cell battery pack to power the recliner motor. It's the best seat in the house.
As a G8 owner , I heartily approve.

IMHO it certainly looks A LOT more comfortable than that Porsche-based listening chair...

Along with all of the other comments, why would one want a listening chair with a surface immediately behind your ears?
As Zoolander would say, "This chair is the exact same chair from my Porshe."
That's why.

is the seat warmer a standard feature?
Happy Listening
it must be recommended for listening while in one's underwear. ;^)
More seriously, I've read several recommendations against any listening chair high enough to cause immediate direct reflections back to your ears. That eliminates the sense of spaciousness from longer delay times with a wall a little distance behind the head.

...the chair's so amazing it makes women take their clothes off.
Assuming for the sake of argument that a Recaro racing seat would make a good listening chair, there are lots of options for buying one that cost a lot less than $4k.
Happy listening,

Fits me like a glove, sort of.

HA, I gots ta have me one of those.
But,there's probably someonestpid enough to fall for this.
thanks for sharing.
would have been great years ago when I highly directional Acoustat 2+2s.
Pity that the frame that holds the chair is so crude without arm rests. Anyone sitting in it is going to have very sore forearms after a short time. Arm rests aren't needed when driving or racing.
This one from Gamut is stated as having special features to deal with sonic reflections to the ear from the chair. Well Gamut are a prestigious audio manufacturer so maybe I will take that at face value. It also appears to be cushioned inwards for arms but I'd need to try. If I ever I have a spare 5k gbp...
How ugly!
However, I'd happily purchase it if the occupant in the second picture is included. :)
it should.
enjoy,
