I bought the kav300 il as a demo from tweeter to drive my KEF 105/3s after throwing thousands trying to system match and get the sound I knew they were capable of and it DID. The unit proved unreliable going back for service 3 times under warranty and sitting broken in storage now many years out of warranty but no denying the quality of sound.

after it came back from a recap service. She bought it when it first came out and it refuses to die even after all these years. I think she had to send a unit back once but after that no trouble.
My original 300i is still working without a hitch, too. I sent mine back once to have the plastic speaker binding post replaced.
The unit does require a plenty of ventilation.
i know three guys who bought the kav-300i when it first came out in the late '90s.
one has had a couple of the input rca's come apart.
one has had a channel die.
third guy, who has the early kav rocket logo, has had a perfect run and his example even sounds better than the later 300iL and s300i.
