Funny you should say that. I find that, at certain places, the shabbier I look, the better the service. In fact, too much service. I figure they think I'm going to swipe something, because these are places that most people complain about a complete lack of service.
Yup. I find that is usually true as well. I used to joke with my girlfriend that I have a "good service" outfit - Jean cut offs, sandals, and a either a faded, "Brooklyn! Where the weak are killed and eaten!" t-shirt, or a ratty, high school squash one. You will get
a "Can I help you sir?" before the door is fully closed behind you.
