See how good your rig is.
The greatest impediment to advancing an audiophile system is the audiophile.

I have that CD...what am I listening for? What is Ila Schloss?
Speech/Speaker/Speaking Part per AllMusic.
I googled and saw Ila Schloss Photography. So I'm guessing the OP's system allows him to hear a picture.
And if he's able to hear a picture through his system, it is, indeed, quite a revealing one.
"Man, that mouse is Awesome." - Kaemon (referring to Jerry, of Tom and Jerry fame)
Dang....thats some system!
there are limits!
"One this was all Black Plasma and Imagination" - Michael McClure
I wouldn't buy someone's "suggested" disc for a quick system check either if the music didn't appeal to me. However some may have it, and/or can try a file playback from a subscription service. Though the quality of such a source would be very challenged by this particular test and I would encourage those trying not to be upset if their rig fails this particular test.
To give more appreciation for the test, I heard it on a high power rig with full range ESLs. I believe that some systems I build lately perhaps would not be able to reveal it. :)

What on earth are you talking about?
Bob James " Lotus Leaves" is on the 'Restless album.
What is he taking about??????
There is a female background vocalist whose voice floats around the soundstage about two thirds way into the song until the end. I cannot make out the words in my rig. I might try it with some cans to see if I can make them out.
Regardless, it is a great tune.

Looked at the credits to the song on the CD and it says " Ila Schloss speaker". Yes I can hear her floating around whispering or talking really low in the back ground.
