I guess if I ever listen to a classical performance on SACD, and afterwards, my main focus is the fine points and/or flaws of the performance, maybe then I'll start trumpeting the format.
But for now, whenever I listen to SACD, after the music stops (often prematurely) I am so fixated on the ill feeling from listener fatigue, I then realize I didn't pay much attention to the actual performance. The best I can do is a state a few vague, broad generalizations. With a degree of uncertainty.
Follow Ups:
Maybe you need a better SACD player. In several years of playing SACDs, hybrids as well as single layer discs, I have never had a single case of malfunction of any kind. I have never had any recording stop before the end.
Because background noise is eliminated, the large dynamic range is very effectively utilized, the sound quality is superb, and the miking is generally very good on recent classical SACD releases, it is much easier to appreciate the quality of the performances than on older CDs and many vinyl recordings. Of course, this can be good or bad, depending on the particular performance.

I tried SACD only once in my main system. Borrowed a Sony 777, which was supposed to be one of the better players at the time. I recall playing a highly-regarded recording of Dvorak's "New World" symphony..... I don't remember the performance in detail, aside from it being decent..... I do remember having to split my listening session into shorter segments, to mitigate the fatigue. I also recall reacting positively at first, but reality later set in.
I've listened to SACD on at least 20 other occasions, on other systems. I briefly listened to an EMM Labs based system roughly six months ago. Sounds great at first, but that ill feeling always creeps in. (Although it was an all solid-state system, and what I perceived ill may have been due to other factors.)
It's unfortunate you can't enjoy SACDs, as I find them so engaging for classical music. Actually, Telarcs are not my first choice, but many of them and other labels on my system are extremely compelling and satisfying when compared to what is for me the absolute standard, live music. I started buying classical vinyl around 1960 for my first system, an AR- Dynaco one, and my present system is vastly better. I find on it that SACDs can draw me in and allow to me to listen to the music rather than to the sound in as satisfying a way as anything I have heard for 45 years. I consider many of the recordings that I have on vinyl to be treasures of great personal value, but I find myself listening to SACDs with equal pleasure in many cases. Each to his or her own.
