Great tuner, great remote, great sound from a clock radio - The BWR is a really nice addition to the bedroom. The cambridge soundworks unit is iffy - I bought one and they've sent me FIVE replacements trying to find one that works.I run WMA lossless into the aux input - works, um, GREAT.
Would a tubed amp etc etc etc sound better? maybe. Will it wake you up, lull you to sleep etc - NO.

Follow Ups:
...in my opinion. I returned one that I ordered and I NEVER return anything. The tuner was very poor with most stations having some hiss even when connected to a rooftop antenna. And I had to go through the menu to hit the mono selector. Plus it was too fat for most bedside tables.I have the Bose Wave Radio in the weekend place and it works just fine. I mostly use it with XM line input to the Aux jacks.
Also have a Nakamichi One that is nice but it doesn't have Aux inputs.

I guess it depends on where you live. I have the cambridge soundworks radio and it works fine. Granted, you have to put it in a position where it can tune in your stations. I live in a NY so I guess it's not a problem with reception. You can go wrong with this radio especially refurbished.
