Hi Steven, " You are so correct. As, I've been reading in depth the Tube Asylum for around 5 years now. I've always seen that one being mentioned as one of the best & most refined 12AU7 subs. out there. I've followed all of you Guys, ( Robert H. & Yourself.)and have come to value & trust Your opinions. Yet, I had to at some point, learn how to read between the lines. Some Tubes are Pure Unobtainium. So the realizations of said matters is ............, Most of Us newbies will never know the Joys of such Tubes. As, The HIGH END in the Mid 1960's & Early 1970's saw itself. Suckers into purchasing Mass Markret Audio Electronics via Japanese Companies. While, As I've stated earlier. During My stay in Osaka, Japan in the late 70's/early 80's. I witnessed first hand...........,what they were into. And, Believe Me. Their into MUSICAL REFINEMENT. While We American are more into POWER MUSIC/ POWER TRIPPING would be more like it. We lost Our way. because, We believe that if it doesn't make Us deaf, than it isn't HIGH FI. I for one chersish My hearing & would hate loosing the ability to listen to Music , My Wife's & Children's Voices. NOW...........,That's Music For My Soul."
