How many working early solid state amps are you aware of?
My Marantz Model 18, has been in contious use, since 1976. It was originally purchased in 1969 (not by me). It is in use around 8 hours pre day/6 days per week. It has been repaied once (I shorted the outputs, for about an hour and one channel overheated). Apart from a removal of the tone control circuits and some dirty switches, it is still operating well.One of my clients just dropped in his 1976 model SS preamp and power amp in for it's first service, since purchase.
