I built a 1.5 meter pulsar interconnect myself using Chris' materials. They were fun to build, and Chris was extremely helpful with the project. As for the cables - I performed repeated A/B tests, using both the TOSlink and digital coax outputs on my CD player. The difference is clear. I concentrated on specific effects heard on several CDs, in order to gauge the change. I found an improved sense of focus, and a broader sound stage with greater separation and better placement. The main effect that contributes to the improved "focus" is a simultaneously more detailed and less "digital" presentation of low-level effects and transitions. I am simply hearing things that I could not previously hear - and that annoying sibilance and flatness has been tamed! I am very impressed. Even poor recordings, like the Red Hot Chili Peppers' Californication, is improved to a listenable degree... While nothing this inexpensive can be expected to make a quantum leap in redbook CD sound quality, these cables finesse it nicely. They have a permanent home in my system. They are well worth the investment, and I highly recommend them to anyone who is seeking an improvement.

...the reason I ask is my Pulsars are still sounding better after 250+ hours. It took a solid 200 hours before I even began to realize their potential. "Damn!!! This is what I paid for!" This though is for analog and not a digital signal....I have a DiMarzio for digital that I have been contemplating replacing with a Pulsar.
Peace... roger

Actually I heard an immediate improvement, <4 hours of use before I put in the review. If they improve over time, God bless 'em!
