I just recently bought a Smart DIO from Bolder and I was quite surprised at how different the sound was after replacing the stock Wall Wart with an Atari PS.I will look into getting a PS from Bolder after getting some of the Mods I have set for myself finished.I might even get the MENSA Version of the DAC.Thanks for the comparision BTW.

save the money for the mensa mod by skipping the bolder p/s upgrade. unless, of course, ya can afford both! ;~)while i tried to buy j-man's bybee'd bolder, he decided he wasn't selling. but, to be honest, i'm not sure how much more improvement i'd get over my stancor, cuz i am using a separate isolation x-former on my di/o, & one on my transport. both are awailable for pennies on the dollar, on ebay. don't pay more than $50max, for these retail $200-$600 items... i experienced increased detail & reduced noisefloor twice - 1st when plugging dac into the 1st one, then when plugging transport into the second one...
