HiHere is the problem:
My CD 17 and my Primare A30.1 amp share the same remote control codes for volume adjustment. When I adjust the volume on the remote of the amp, the volume of the CD player also changes. Unfortunately, there is no fixed output on the player and I think, it's a digital volume control (yuck). Does anybody know where I can get the schematic for this player so I can disable the volume control? Any other ideas?

I had same problem w. Marantz CD-14 & Thule PreAmp...
Solved by using an external DAC.
I've gone to some trouble to acess the digital attenuation feature built into DAC in the sony 775

Set the vol to max , it bypasses and dsp processing and blank off the IR sensor on the CDP (but then you get no track changes) - either that or get a programmeable remote and see if you can delete remote volume for the cdp or dont teach it that(perhaps it wont respond to the amp)I dont think it will be possible to disable just vol control in the cdp
