I've been using dBpoweramp to rip CDs to my music server and really like the program, but there is a problem that has nothing to do with dBpoweramp. It has to do with iTunes.
Every time I load a CD into the outboard CD ROM drive for my MacBook Air, even though I have dBpoweramp open, the computer opens two iTunes windows in front of it that I then have to close. I don't see a way to make dBpoweramp the default priority. Is there a way to just disable iTunes?
Follow Ups:
Go to: System Preferences, select "CDs & DVDs"
Click pulldown menu from "When you insert a music CD"
Click "Open other application..."
Select dBpoweramp from list of applications, click "Choose"
From this point forward dBpoweramp will open when you insert a music disc in the drive. You can also do the same with blank discs, etc. I'm on macos Catalina but it should be the same in other OS versions.
