Hi,
Any of the Conductor V2+ users have info on how to change the DAC analog output to fixed mode?
It is my understanding the Preamp output is variable but the DAC output should be fixed but my V2+'s DAC output is also variable.
Thanks,
Ki

If you don't get an answer here, email Burson; they respond quickly.
Thanks, Done.
Here's what I wrote to Burson:"Could you tell me how I can set up the V2+'s DAC output to be fixed bypassing both the PGA2310 volume chip and internal DSP volume control from Saber 32 DAC to be as pure DAC output as possible just outputting through your V5 SS opamps only?
My V2+'s DAC output is still variable."
And what I heard from Burson:"Unfortunately, you can't bypass the volume control program.
The DAC output is not controlled by the PGA2310. It is controlled directly by our program inside the ESS9018 chip. The signal is then sent to our discrete buffer stage. So, even though it has volume control, it still has the shortest signal path possible.
The advantage of this is that using the volume control, you can match the DAC output level perfectly with your preamp."
