The audio quality is mostly excellent. For me the main problem is for classical music, the majority of it comes from the Warner Bros catalogue, which for classical music I never did consider it to be the best. There is some classic jazz like some Coltrane albums which are excellent but the audio was never in the league of the Blue Note. I hope that in time music from other labels will appear.
For now the best demo quality albums are to be found in pop music

made a decision to cancel tidal.if I have to wait I will, already had $220+ invested in the MQA experiment, one $200 for the Explorer 2 DAC and another $20 (plus foreign transaction fee so a little more) for another month of Tidal.
The crap on there makes me vomit, from Jay-Z and his political beliefs posted on the front page sometimes to the rehased trash class C rehashes of Disney boppers and artless musicians, I'll come back in a year or just monitor the label progress in 2, because the quality of the music is just not there in terms of selection.

Very true They should be going belly up soon or bought out by people with a modicum of business sense.
Posting political beliefs will alienate half the listener base either way.
Eye see it as another propaganda arm, I won't be supporting them anymore.
Take care.
Tidal can't put material on there sight that the label has not encoded in MQA. In the spring the Sony and UMG catalogs will start appearing on Tidal. If you want other music now just do a search and you will probably find a 16/44 streaming of it. Tidal is not charging anything extra for MQA. If you want anything ever recorded stream from the Naxos Music Library but it will cost you $30/month for 320kbs

their alleged use of 'watermarks' on TIDAL tracks?
I did hear one example when comparing TIDAL with QOBUZ where the difference was audible but I have no proof that it was an intentional addition of distortion. Might just as easily been an artifact, but it was very reproducible, whatever it was, and it was NOT evident on the same album track on QOBUZ.
sorry for being wrong then. I didn't know this.
I think the frustration with Tidal for me is they have been talking about streaming MQA for over 3 years. I still can't believe they are actually doing this but yes they have a long way to go. You are correct in your complaints. I was just trying to share some information . Not really saying you are wrong in not being happy with Tidal

it is a great site, I subscribe to Deezer Elite which I use on a Wyred 4 Sound modified Sonos connect as well.
Already paying for Youtube, Google Music, Google Drive, Deezer Elite and now Tidal :)
lucky for me I don't have pay TV service or I would be under water drowning. Just fiber internet.
Correct.
As Ronald Reagan said, "...government IS the problem".
In this case, classical music IS the problem. The solution is to never listen to classical music. Not ever.
Already, most people in the world don't listen to classical music, and many people hate it. As one person posted over on the General Music board, classical music makes some people physically sick.
You should never, ever, listen to classical music. It'll destroy your manhood [or womanhood, as the case may be], destroy your neurons, and destroy our country.
There's more than enough EDM and rap available to take up all of your time.
Good times,

Almost all the original MQA releases come from Warner bros. They have done nearly there whole catalog in MQA. Several other labels are doing the same including Sony.
This is a roll out guys. You got to be patient .
Alan
They have a deep classical and jazz catalog.

Do you realize the lables controlled by UMG?

Alan is right jazz1. As I understand things from MQA's presentation at RMAF '16 as reported in AudioStream, Warner were the first major to have their catalogue MQA encoded. UMG and Sony are expected to complete their encoding in Spring this year.
