I was on Amazon.com today and decided to take a look at the Oppos.
Under the 103 (used) was a listing for 15 sealed with warranty BDP-103s for $295..Shipping at about $15.
Tried to buy one,but kept getting a message about the shipping disqualifying them.Contacted Amazon and was told that the ad had "sold out".Was also told it might "re-list".No such luck
I hope someone out there was fortunate enough to snag one.
Happy Holidays!

I've been told that the Sony UHP-H1 has all the same capabilities as the Oppo BDP-103 so you might want to check it out. There was a recent thread in the computer audio forum about it. Check out the link below:
Can't use it as a preamp either like an Oppo. Inputs aren't nearly as good either. For example on the Oppo I can plug in a USB drive on the back and a thumb drive on the front. If I want, I can also plug in another player on the back, since the Oppo has HDMI inputs. Oppo far superior in every way.
Not even close. Like a VW vs a Ferrari.
Well, I'm glad I bought an Oppo, then.
1. Not the same multichannel streaming abilities.
2. Not the same ability to rip SACDs.
Others.
Nice player, though, for the money.
Beware of sellers on Amazon.com asking you to contact them prior to sale. It's a scam.
Got in touch with the above seller (PLEZBOTEX in TX).They agreed to $300 delivered and would have Amazon send an invoice.
Got what looked like an invoice from Amazon. It stated that I needed to pay with the aboves" "gift cards".
Contacted Amazon directly. No e-mail from "payments" was sent out.Total scam.
Forwarded "my invoice" to Amazon.com.They're trying to stay on top of this.Seems like it may be a large problem there.
Stay away from "just launched" or "contact before purchasing".
Happy Holidays!
