Follow Ups:
all things being equal the coaxial should give better sound ....The effect of coaxial or optical connections in my cd player and dac is a softening of the sound when using the optical connection. Quad 99cdp and behringer src2496 or dac lite AH.What I hear you cry the 99cdp does not have a coax out .....well mine does now I fitted one !

I haven't heard the AA toslink, but I have heard the Monster and I would avoid it.
Suggest you go to ebay and do a search for "glass toslink" if you want a toslink cable. For coaxial, look into the Canare LV-77s or Belden 1695. Blue Jeans Cable is probably a good source for them.
Which one will work best is impossible to predict as they will sound different depending on the transport you use and your own personal taste.
