    I recently upgraded to a Squeezebox 3 and am very pleased with the built-in DAC. (My old SliMP3 - the first version - was profoundly mediocre in that area.) The SB3's DAC is easily the equal of my NAD C542 CD player. You can also easily use an external DAC with the SB3 if you get that urge.

    I've not used a Roku so can't comment on it.
