I haven't had any of the problems you have experienced; sounds as if they may have had a bit of a quality issue with the MK3 version. I can understand why you gave up on the brand, but I am hopeful that my player will be good as new after the repair. I haven't heard from my dealer yet - he may be out of town - so I don't have the authorization to send it back yet.What did you replace the Audio aero with?

In my case, both my dealer and the distributor were excellent! You can even call the Globe Audio first and talk about your issues (that's at least what I did).
I replaced it with Naim cd5x.
