And if you read my post again, it was a "generalization" which in my opinion holds up well. There's a reason why old DACs have depreciated more than any other audiophile component over the years... you can do a lot better today for a lot less money.

I had a Muse Model 2 w/ Bessel filter, with a Sony DVP-S7000, and Theta Data II. My modded Toshiba 3950 cdp trounces them (except build quality).
