Correct identification of phase (using Mono switch) makes a big difference to the sound from this recording.

Thank you fmak :)Yes, this recordings are very sensitive to the stereo arrangement of the playback system.
We use an ORTF mic arrangement to produce the stereo image. That kind of arrangement produces both volume and timing differences between L and R channels.
If the playback system has a good stereo arrangement (the distances between the speakers and the listening point are correct) then these volume and timing differences produce a wonderful image, but if the distances are not correct (or if you playback in mono) then the timing differences will not make sense any more and that will not just affect the image, it will also affect other aspects of the sound too.

I like the music and dynamics of this even better. Downside has been slow download speeds and a broken download for one of them.
There are no demo downloads that I have come across which are as good as these.
