Just took another look there and under floor standing speakers there are posts on adidas, nike and other shoes. I know its spam, but this stuff was there a week ago. It seems no one are the Absolute Sound cares about their forum. Sad

Maybe there was other stuff a week ago, but the current stuff is all dated post July 26. It's unfortunate, but I'm sure they're cleaning it up.
One thing I wonder about the TAS forums (and Stereophile's too.) Why do they have so many specialized, mostly quiet, forums? The really vibrant forums on the web, such as Naim and pinkfishaudio, have one main audio forum.

Last week there were tons of spam on Nike and shoes. Not sure if they were the same posts but that misses the point. It should be taken care of. I don't see that stuff here. I agree with you, they should have fewer forums. My observation is that they really don't care. Do you think Robert Harley will add a comment?
Cares, that is. And no, he won't post a comment.
I've been tempted to post at the TAS forum, but so far have resisted the temptation. There are a few interesting topics from time to time.
I'm betting if you asked a question at the TAS forum, Robert Harley would respond. I have seen him comment many times on the TAS blogs.

Yep Sue, Stereophile forums is not much better.
I also think most audio boards have too many different forums. I checked out one of the newer offerings tonight and counted 38 forums as well as a dozen or so sub- forums. Everything but needlepoint. I may have to join just to complain :-)

A healthy forum requires regulars, and regulars aren't going to frequent 38 forums. I've also never understood why Stereophile puts a year's worth of issue forums above the over 20 regular forums, click on Forums and you can't even see the regular forums. The result is hardly surprising - boring, mostly unhelpful, and weak participation. That said, when I was looking for stuff 5-6 years ago, I found TAS's forums more helpful than Stereophile's, as more knowledgeable and helpful people tended to hang out there. I also found audiogon and Audio Aficionado forums helpful, even though they did have a lot of forums.
My favourite forum, though, is the Naim HiFi forum. They have one main HiFi forum and get more traffic on a single topic than Stereophile or TAS get total in months. I still follow it because of the regulars and because it's fun, even though I decided years ago that Naim equipment was not for me.

Unfortunately, that forum never seemed to take off.
Agreed- there is not much to do about the TAS website nor forums as well.
