Could you give an example, please. Articles that were posted prior to
2005 sometimes didn't have accompanying images, due to the need back
then to keep the site compatible with dial-up services. But that
limitation disappeared a long time ago.
For website content that is derived from the magazine, they generally
reproduce all the pictures that had been included in the print version,
plus any others that we have available. Note that with equipment reports,
there are often more graphs than the print version and those graphs are
always in higher definition.
For exclusive web content, these often include multiple images and
sometimes embedded video.See, for example, the Bob Dylan review at
the link below.

Perhaps I am just feeling grumpy today, but I do get weary of answering
questions about Stereophile on forums only not to get any acknowledgement
or, as in this case, not getting an answer to a question of my own.If someone is sufficiently concerned about the magazine to ask a question
of me in public, are they really not interested in what I have to say?

Reasons to resubscribe?
Well, while I think many reviewers across the board really miss the boat when trying to evaluate whether a speaker or any component sounds like real music, and while most of them just parrot the manufacturer's phoney science, John Atkinson's measurements represent some of the only sanity in the review world.
Measurements don't tell all, but a good listening reviewer plus the measurements can tell a lot. And John does a great job at this.
John's reviews also are telling. Because he measures, some folks might put him in the "all science, no subjective" kind of box, but his opinions on the sound of equipment are some of the best in the industry.
So, for me, John Atkinson alone is worth the price of admission, err....subscription.
For the record, I am not affiliated with S'phile or John in any way, though I have met him several times.

You are welcome, but since it was all true I was only stating fact.
It was the weekend, I was not into sitting and writing on the computer, and there were a few more points I had thought of but forgot about while writing.
The most important thing I forgot to mention is the issue of the "ear" and "sensibility" of the reviewer. Someone who knows the sound of real music is so important. I find that many folks, from home audiophiles to manufacturers to dealers to reviewers don't go often or at all to hear music, though lots of lip service is paid, by all, about the sound of real music. John Atkinson plays, and is therefore around other players, listening to their instruments, when playing. There is no substitute for this experience with live music, burned into the mind and reinforced regularly. It is so much easier to judge equipment when you are coming from this position.
When you can bounce this experience and deep, detailed memory of live music against measurements that you take, the combination of the two builds where you can really start correlating the measurements and the sound more meaningfully. That combination of knowledge and skill sets represents a powerful evaluative force.
Again, support of the value of the magazine, especially at the low subscription offers.
To repeat, no connection at all to the magazine, but a long time in audio. .
