clearly we fall outside the pale; we are out of step with - and do not - sufficiently appreciate - the new stereophile personal journalism.
can you spell d-e-m-o-g-r-a-p-h-i-c-s. ah, to be young again and make meatloaf for single women 'friends'.

I'm a great cook, but I prefer women to cook for me, at least 50% of the time. BTW, I doubt SM's meatloaf comes close to my wife's.
Please post the wife's Meatloaf recipie.Want to compare with Mejias'.
Cheers
Bill
Here is my wife's meatloaf: Glaze: 1/2 cup ketchup; 1/4 cup brown sugar; 4 teaspoons vinegar.
Meatloaf: 2 teaspoons oil; 1 onion. chopped; 2 garlic cloves minced; 2 eggs; 1/2 teaspoon thyme; 1 teaspoon salt; 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper; 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard; 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce; 1/2 cup milk; 2 pounds meat loaf mix, 1/3 ground chuck, 1/3 ground pork, 1/3 ground veal; 1/2 pound low fat bacon.
cook at 375 degrees. Saute onion and garlic 5 minutes over medium heat; mix eggs, thyme, pepper, mustard, Worerstershire sauce, and milk; add egg mixture to meat and onion and garlic; put in to a loaf pan (9 by 5 inches); brush with 1/2 glaze; put bacon over loaf; bake 1 hour; serve with rest of glaze.
Wine? Cote du rhone or Zin.
almost the same as what we cook at home.We add a little Chinese hot sauce and capsicum.Spicy.I have requested my wife to add some vodka but she has turned a deaf ear to it.
All the best
Bill
Bill, I love hot sauce, but it doesn't love me back!
