…, perhaps, too self-referential to be meaningful for others here.
When I stumbled onto AA in 2000, I found a home amongst kindred spirits, who sometimes posted here at Classical Court. Excellent memories of learning about music while truly laughing out loud at what I was reading on my monitor.
It was so nice, Chris, to see your "Moderator - Are you guys starting up Classical Court again?" post on the Lane and to follow your link here.
Sorry about the unclear reference.

Just click your heels three times and say I wish I was home.

Not meaning to be impertinent, Neil E., but do you have an affinity for kayaks? Moving slowly with elegance? Balancing energy sorts of things? Have I reached the party to whom I am speaking?
And, to answer your question directly, um, yes, more or less.
My posting muscles are quite atrophied, but my keyboard hunting-and-pecking protocols haven't completely deserted me.
Hope you have been well, sir.

The one time I was in Ashville, NC (one of our kids was in a tennis tournament there), I decided to forego a visit to the Thomas Wolfe homestead, so I guess I have to own up to being a literary philistine. ;-)
I still don't know what will happen here, whether this accidental re-birth is going to get off the ground - I guess it just depends on the moderators. Will they provide links here off the main access points?
… William Faulkner compared Wolfe's writing to “an elephant trying to do the hoochie-koochie.”
And, though I have read two of his novels, I can't say I'll be going back for more. (Unless some Buddhists' views on reincarnation prove true, anyway: possibly in another lifetime.)
As to your wondering about the future of this forum, yes, certainly, AA's structural approach will have great effect on "The Court Redux." If access is made visible from the major fora, the Court will have a plain chance at its own rebirth. I am, though, unclear about the need for a classical-specific forum these days. Music Lane seems to do fine with its generally neighborly attitudes towards a mix of jazz and classical.
If, though, this stays somewhat “under the radar,” a certain cachet – hidden treasures? – could become attached to it, and an enticing subculture might well develop.
Regardless, simply seeing the Court open for visitors these few days has been fun for me.
