For Haydn that is more spirited than "well organized", try Alisa Weilerstein's recording on PentaTone.

I saw her perform in recent years and really enjoyed the concert. I have been somewhat reluctant to purchase Pentatone recordings, however. I purchased two a few years back and found them accoustically flat.
The main reason I brought up Alisa Weilerstein's recording is because "well organized" is not what comes to mind. The last movement that I posted earlier ( YouTube ) is taken at a frenetic, "I'm late for the train" tempo.
Don't give up on PentaTone. I generally find their sound to be at least good and often excellent. Try, for example, the two albums of Bach harpsichord concertos with Francesco Corti.
Thanks. I may do so.
Especially with the Trondheim Soloists not being a HIP orchestra! ;-)
There's another MCh recording which seems to be OOP now (and which I also like):
Here's yet another MCh recording I like which might be "under the radar" for a lot of listeners, even though the orchestra is "I Solisti di Zagreb":
And of course there's always babe cellist Wendy Warner's recording (only in 2Ch unfortunately), which one of the Amazon posters claims is "fizzier" than some other recordings:
Another Amazon poster states, "Warner's Haydn cadenza is a tour de force, evocative of an Eddie Van Halen guitar solo"! Sounds groovy to me!
I don't know the Weilerstein, but my favorite recording of the Haydn Cello Concertos has always been Rostropovich/English Chamber Orchestra.
