I enjoy each for what each has to offer. And appreciate and respect the time and sweat each put in to bring his creations to fruition (except for the mood-destroying "happy" ending one tacked on to one of his symphonies in pursuit of a prize).
Both get about equal playing time here. And that answers the question for me.

I like them both. BTW, I feel that that Seventh Symphony is very underrated - I believe I read that ballerina Galina Ullanova said that the Seventh was her favorite Prokofiev Symphony. I wouldn't go that far, but she definitely had the right idea!
Never have. It's always sounded like the artificial tack-on it was. no matter who conducts it. I'm glad Gaffigan omits it.
