Not.
Here is how to be relevant to the younger generation without the theatrics.
I would love to hear her in a venue like this.
Follow Ups:
The linked video, I only listened to the first half minute...... It was Auto-Tuned.........
I am no golden ear but IME her intonation is superb
Of course HH's intonation is superb! Todd just tends to hear autotune being employed in situations where no one else hears it at all! ;-)
I was just using auto tune comment to express my opinion of HH's superior intonation. So good it sounds auto tuned. But yes, I do know Todd's ability to hear auto tune where none is present.
She does have excellent intonation..... The Auto-Tune makes the violin sound "artificial" and the locking effect is **annoying** as heck..... (I think it's less tolerable on violin than it is on vocals.)There is a lot of good Hilary without the enhancement..... She doesn't need it. (This is the same piece as in the NPR clip, except without the Auto-Tune.)

Sounds to me like she's in a small, dry studio. I've heard that sound live plenty of times - nothing artificial about it.
I'd call Maxim Vengerov the "Lang Lang of the violin".........
IMHO Hilary Hahn is musically at the top of her profession. Lang Lang may be financially at the top of his profession and a torch bearer for Asian musicians but I wouldn't personally go further than that.
.
I was confused, I thought that Lang Lang was one of the famous panda bears at the National Zoo.
That's why I said "not".
The brain plays funny tricks - it seems to see what it wants to see, or whatever.
I'm a big Hahn fan, anyway. She's the business.
Maybe you just accidentally left it out. That would make much more sense
Yes, there it is, the first word!
Since I've got a pair, I can see it rather clearly. ;-)
you still have yours too?
; ) spoiler alert ... the 'illusion' was achieved by pressing goose feathers between the plastic 'lens' of the glasses
pretty stupid, but when you're a kid spending his own $1.00 and getting something addressed to YOU in the mail it seemed like a big deal
not that I didn't try them out on my older sister's friends in hopes of ...
regards,
I don't know of any serious, professional, non-Chinese, Asian musicians who regard Lang Lang as a torch bearer for them
who see Lang Lang as a torch bearer for them?
Speaking of which, maybe I might be more interested in some Adidas Lang Lang athletic shoes!
