I really like this piece, and I like that this group played it without a harpsichord.
Are there any CD recordings similar to this piece and approach?

Broadly speaking you are looking for trio sonatas by German, or composers working in the German style, of the 17th century. Lute (theorbo) and/or organ would be common for continuo rather than harpsichord.Linked is information on a sampler available from BIS.
I wonder if you may not also enjoy works in the Italian style of the same era (Torelli, Corelli etc.)?
