. . . their economic proposition can be compelling. I was just slumming around Berkshire Record Outlet last night, and before I knew it (with the prices being SO low), I had 18 items (all MCh in one way or another) in my basket! Two blu-rays and 16 SACD's - mostly Pentatone: bunch of stuff with Jakub Hrusa conducting, a number of Janowski Bruckner symphonies (1, 3 and 6 - I probably should have picked up 4 too!), Haydn Creation with the Houston SO, a couple of Pentatone's DG quad reissues (Haydn with Zuckerman and the LAPO, Guitar Concertos with Yepes), Strauss Sonata with Steinbacher, etc. The Pentatone items were $6.99 each - such a deal! ;-)

You and I know, by next month you'll be trotting out of that store with a bunch of vinyl in your hands. It's inevitable. This is just the overture!
but thanks to you I had to get that Janowski's Bruckner 3. ( and 5 other discs ) :/
I've picked up Steinbacher CD, too ( but Britten/Hindemith ) and Wartime Furtwangler Strauss.
I still loath their new site. Wish they kept the old format which loaded much faster.
. . . are not bad at all, and I like the graphical layout on the new site much better (it's clearer for my aging eyes!). Oh well!
IT used to be pretty fast. The new site's search engine not only so slow it's not even a good one. So for me, purchase there plummeted to just a hand full last year.
