yes, the AC is "CLEAN" when it comes out, but heavily chocked...suitable for low draw devices, not good for high power amp!Sam

I agree that Monster conditioners in general are current limiting. Monster's weaknesses are their power cords and recepticles. I have found that upgrading these two components (from HTS2000 to HTS5100) this problem is minimized to insignificant levels. The improvements are vast, but the question comes up of spending up to $100 or more. IMO the gains in performance substantiates the cost when comparing to some other units that may cost twice as much.

Thanks for your response. I am not sure if I have what you would call a "low draw device" or a "high power amp" I have a Pass Aleph 30 power amp. It has only 30 watts per channel, however the Pass amps are pure Class A. It draws 200 amps at all times. Please let me know if you think my line conditioner is well matched to my system or if I would gain sonic improvements with the JR line conditioner. Is the balanced power transformer used in addition to a line conditiioner or does it replace it?
my own experience is with SS amps at 120Watts per channel. In this case it was current limiting. I don't have experience with Jon's filter, they seem to have great reviews here. I personally use the monster product for my CDP and use a PSAudio Ultimate Outlet (HC) for the amp. This works well for me.
