in the case of the Shunyata NR power cords--according to Shunyata I read the Cooker stuffs up the
KPIP processing in the Lines--as after cooking the NR's must be returned to Shunyata for reconditioning--so caution needed with those!

Des....first I've heard of this, but not a surprise that Shunyata has developed their own proprietary process. It is possible that their process is incompatible with the high-current, high-voltage, steady-state output signal of the Cooker....who knows. Their description of KPIP reveals nothing. I've not had any feedback from customers on this issue, nor have I had any questions about the duration of conditioning time for said cables. There are other cable manufacturers (Audience and Synergistic Research in particular) who use extremely-high voltage treatments (Tesla coils) on their cables, line conditioners, and other products in conjunction with their long-time use of the Cable Cooker. Those treatments are quite compatible.

Yes Alan -Caelin did not mention a specific "Cooker" in his posting reply comments on burning in the NRs on another forum-so I apologise for the assumption it was THE Cooker--.one of the perils in this social media world of recognition overload when one in Audio automatically associates your excellent product(I've owned one) as a-- "the Cooker". this can bite one but not in this case I do trust.Caelin recommended one used the Fan continuous for NR burn-ins--maybe his other cables are perfectly fine with being Cooked--as a both of you are respected members of the Audio Mfg community maybe a call and chat to sort what exactly is his reason--no?
I had a great experience with the my Cooker above Kudos great product !

PS: Brand assimilation over the years has had its tragic and unfortunate outcomes--namely
Stanley knives
Tannoy
I won't post here both extremely tragic events--only the latter relates to Audio
