Not long after the fake Oyaide AC connectors showed-up on eBay, I bought the product and was not impressed with how it sounded.
Whether or not it's a good sounding connector could be based on a listener's expectation or subjective opinion. It certainly did not sound like a genuine Oyaide product, and based on its own lackluster sonic signature I had no desire to use it.
If you are seeking an inexpensive set of good sounding AC connectors, I suggest this particular set of Viborg Milled Aluminum Gold AC connectors.

Thanks Duster. You have provided probably the most fair response to my question. About a mth ago I started playing with power cords. I purchased a few of them used and and in my current system I can tell the difference between them immediately. Because of that I decided to try making my own. Since i'm new at this I didn't want to spend a lot from the get go. I ended up buying the Valab connectors.
Which particular Valab AC connectors did you decide to purchase, and what make/model power cord(s) was terminated with them, Audiogabby?
I got the VALAB Rhodium connectors and LoRad wire. I may move up to more expensive connectors later. Same thing with the wire.
