Hello. I am in the process of replacing the stock power cords in my system with Nordost Blue Heaven. On the stock wires, I had clamped those round magnetic ring type devices that were popular some years ago as they had a minor but detectable positive effect, at least on the OEM originals or hardware store alternatives. Any experience or comment on the applicability of these EMI "isolators" on a modern dedicated AC cable like Blue Heaven?

Ferrite clamps shouldn't be used on you audio system. I tried them many years ago and at first liked them for cleaning up the sound a bit. After a while, I realized that they were also taking out a fair amount of treble in the process.
As stated below, I use them on other things in the house, but not on my stereo.
Jack
As for adding em to a modern 'high end' powercord?
No.
If all you have is a basic plain powercord.. yeah you can add one.
Cardas builds one into its powercords
On a few of my basic extension cords I have a tube shaped one. Plus on things like lamps and fans in my listening area, I have them on each AC cord. And on my fridge cord in the kitchen...
But not on my equipment cords..
