I just can't see myself doing that. As for AC receptacle, I assume you meant the in-wall one, it's not gonna happen now, because there is a renovation planned, and the current one will be removed to put the new one with better wiring closer to the audio rack.
So, now, I have to find some reliable distributor with presentable WAF factor, since it's going to be in our living room.

The Valab products are even nicer looking, likely without the price tag.
...but I'll never buy anything from them with their "occ" wire in it. And that thing surely must have wiring. Probably what they called " OCC from Sumitomo."
I have two power cords that you can see on eBay under their listings, supposedly made from Sumitomo 's OCC copper, with the picture of some piece of paper from Sumitomo's factory. So, I contacted Sumitomo, and they said, basically, that it's BS, and anything that comes from that region with their name on it is fake. But their chassis looks very good for sure. Too bad I don't do the DIY thing.
