but when I got a pair as loaners, I was not happy at all with them in my SS setup. Just made my system sound muddy. Got worse as I went up in models and price in the Transparent Audio line. They seem to attenuate the signal some also.
I bought some Vampire speaker cables and I was happy until I started making my own cables and sold the Vampires.
So far, the best speaker cable I have used my system but it's a high capacitance cable is the DIY Venhaus braided Cat5. Nothing has come close to it but you need a power amp that can handle that high of capacitance which I do.

I have them hooked up now with Eico HF87 driving the Newform Research 645 ribbons and Fisher 400cx2 and they are a bit bright in the midrange and don't don't have the top to bottom balance of the Goertz so far.

Checked it out. That Python cable looks quite nice. Very cool.
I am currently running a pair of Goertz MI2, and was thinking of maybe going with a tri-wire (MI2s on the lower midrange driver and the midrange driver, and MI1 for the tweeters), but that gets a little pricey, and who knows how it will all play out sonically? But I strongly suspect it might be a very, very good approach.
Any thoughts on that? (No problem if you don't, of course.)
Enjoy your Goertz Python cables! They look very, very cool, indeed.
